In the spirit of our commitment to journey with young people in the creation of a hope-filled future, Silveira House recently took a bold and meaningful step toward youth empowerment. We brought together young people from across the country — including some of our own Vocational Skills Training beneficiaries — to participate actively in the National Youth Inclusive Budget Conference, held over two inspiring days at the New Parliament of Zimbabwe on the 26th to 27th of September, 2025
These young women and men were not passive observers. They took their place at the table — engaging in ministry caucuses and side sessions, sharing their lived experiences, and offering thoughtful recommendations on how national budgets can better reflect the priorities of the youth.
Their contributions touched on critical areas such as economic empowerment, education, health, and skills development — ensuring that the voices of the youth were heard where decisions are made.
This initiative is a testament to the transformative power of inclusive governance. It affirms our belief that when young people are given the space and support to lead, they can shape a more just and hopeful future for our nation.
Since 1964, Silveira House has journeyed with young people — listening to their voices, walking alongside them, and empowering them — as we work together to forge paths of hope grounded in justice, dignity, and compassion.
