Silveira House Signs MoU with Parliament of Zimbabwe

A Milestone in Our Mission for Justice and Reconciliation – Silveira House Signs MoU with Parliament of Zimbabwe

With hearts full of gratitude and hope, we share the joyful news that Silveira House – Jesuit Social Justice and Development Centre – has entered into a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Parliament of Zimbabwe. This collaborative step marks a significant moment in our shared pursuit of justice, dignity, and the common good.

Rooted in the Ignatian tradition of deep engagement with the world, this partnership calls the Church to prophetic witness—walking alongside the people of Zimbabwe at the crossroads of faith, governance, and ecological stewardship. It is a call to be present where decisions are made, and to ensure those decisions reflect the values of justice, inclusion, and care for our common home.

Together, we look toward a future where structures serve the people, where the voices of the marginalised are uplifted, and where national transformation is guided by discernment and the Gospel imperative of love.

A Zimbabwe that is just, inclusive, and sustainable is not a distant dream—it is a sacred responsibility. With courage, humility, and hope, we walk this path.
